Why this matters for your practice

Traditional Medicare reimburses at a rate that aligns closely with your other in-network plans — making participation financially viable depending on your client mix. UHC Medicare Advantage, by contrast, reimburses significantly lower ($85.25 vs. $170.00 for the same service code), which is worth factoring into your decision.

Strategic benefit: If a client currently covered under ProviderOne has a retroactive disability determination, Medicare becomes the primary payer from the point of eligibility. Active Medicare enrollment means Eagleview Collaborative can rebill those past claims and maintain payment continuity — rather than those claims converting to patient responsibility if a self-pay form was signed prior to services rendered and the patient follows through on the retroactive bill.

Important: If you want to see Medicare-insured clients at self-pay rates without enrolling in Medicare, a formal opt-out with Medicare is required. Eagleview Collaborative can assist you through this process if you choose to opt-out.
